LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Advantage Kentucky Alliance (AKA) in partnership with Greater Louisville Inc., the Kentucky Export Initiative and the support of several planning partners and sponsors, is offering sessions this fall as part of a proven program designed to help the small and medium-sized Kentucky manufacturers and other interested companies are increasing their sales through profitable exports.
Developed by the US Department of Commerce, ExporTech ™ is a national export technical assistance program that provides companies with a systematic process to enter or expand into global markets and connects them with top international trade experts from around the world. the region.
One-on-one training and mentoring is offered on a wide range of topics including financing, payment risk, compliance, sales and distribution, country selection, and more.
The program helps participants develop a peer-reviewed export growth plan and includes three one-day workshops spanning 10 weeks. Many companies go from planning to closing export sales in as little as three to six months.
“With 95% of global consumers currently living outside our country’s borders, for many Kentucky businesses, capturing and accelerating new sales and profitable customers overseas can be a very effective growth strategy.

The program is limited to 8 companies at a time – ideally with 2 or 3 executives from each participating company. Registration of eligible businesses will be on a first come, first served basis.
