Are there COVID home tests available near me? Massachusetts mom develops website to help people find them
With at-home COVID tests becoming increasingly scarce, residents of Massachusetts don’t know which stores in their area have tests in stock. Olivia Adams, an Arlington mom and web developer, started CovidTestCollab.coma website that will allow residents to check the availability of home COVID tests at their local stores, NECN reported.
This is Adams’ second COVID-19 resource website. When COVID vaccines were first made available to the public, the mother-of-two developed a website to help people book vaccination appointments.

According to NECN, Adams’ new website relies on crowdsourcing. Users can enter CovidTestCollab.com, type in their location, and whether their local pharmacy or store has home tests in stock. Other users can validate these reports.
The website only tracks rapid home COVID tests available in stores, Adams told NECN she hopes to expand the crowdsource’s tracking data to all tests.
“I wanted to create a one-stop shop to say, ‘Where can I get a COVID test,’ so other people can know and not run to a CVS and be disappointed,” Adams told NECN.

On Tuesday, Massachusetts state education and public health officials said rapid at-home COVID tests should soon be available in most schools.
The shortage of home COVID tests is a national problem. Individuals can order a home COVID test right to their doorstep on the new federal website, COVIDtests.gov.
